After that abysmal experience with the english department methinks I'm going to try my hand at thumbnail sketches and speedpainting. I think the most difficult part of my works is getting them off the ground, finishing and texturing isnt so much of a problem when I compare it to actually getting perspective, shape and colour palate down XD
If everything goes well, we might get to see my work go from "Blob a la screen" to "Finished work"
Remaining cheerfully optimistic

AAAUUGH!!!! Thanks Aivii! You were an amazing table-mate as well! I just wish you hadnt linked everyone to this abandoned deviantart XD
If anyone is interested I have a more up to date tumblr running @ pixelsandpaints.tumblr.com
I'm just getting it off the ground, but it's much easier to update than my deviantart. Dont worry, I'll be getting around to updating this thing too once I have the time
If you dont know who Aivii is, she is an amazing artist who I had the absolute pleasure of sharing a table with at the SMASH convention in Sydney this year! Check her out!

The Return
After a long and somewhat productive leave from deviantart (Which was beginning to do a bit more harm than good to my ego) I am back with semi regular updates to my collection posted here. I'll be selling most, of my OC at SMASH as well as some new fanart. Whilst I was gone I have been doing a lot of studying in anatomy and colour/light theory. The main challenge here is really just applying this new found knowledge with copious amounts of practice and even more copious amounts of failure.
Hopefully by the time SMASH rolls around I'll have learned enough for people to enjoy my art half as much as I enjoy making it!~
For those of you who
SMASH-ing!
Oh god... So, I need to, sort of... Get good at this whole art thing.
As a little challenge to myself, I've registered for an artist's table to the SMASH! Animation convention in Sydney. I'll be selling prints, buttons and bookmarks!
Mostly fandom related of course... But god. This is nerve wracking! I am improving a little bit every day, between my animation course and the work I am slowly beginning to push myself to do at home... I am more nervous about being good enough for people to honestly like.
It's one thing for a person to look at your art and say "Hey! I like it" They're almost obliged to say that if you're standing in front
Unshackled
Finally free of highschool and finding my feet in a new Animation course. There are hundreds of sketches to be done every week and even more time spent working on assignments and ideas. So I've got less time for polished art, but I am now constantly immersed in an artistic environment.
It is possibly the best experience of my life so far, being surrounded my so much like-minded talent is both daunting and inspiring. There are high standards for everyone and I dont intend to disappoint!
